In the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for new and expanded life science facilities has surged, with as much as $90 billion in capital pouring into the sector in North America in 2021 alone. In response to this demand, an innovative solution has emerged: adaptive reuse.
From August 1st to 5th, STEAM Camp was back and bigger than ever! Students jumped right into hands-on learning, covering everything from public broadcasting to biotechnology.
This eight-story, 209,504 SF addition and renovation to the chemistry building was a huge undertaking by Strang and the University of Wisconsin – Madison to bring this vital education facility up to date.
