The University Research Park (URP) is a non-profit, internationally recognized research and technology park with 34 buildings and more than 1.5 million SF of office and laboratory space used by a broad range of science and technology start-up companies, many of which are focused on biotechnology. Strang partnered with URP to design buildings that offered low cost, flexible office, production, and laboratory space in a park-like setting. Each building was designed to be flexible enough to accommodate multiple tenants.
Since 1986, Strang has provided services on over 100 projects and completed an average of five tenant build-out projects per year within the URP (ranging in size from 500 SF to 30,000 SF). Strang’s long lasting relationship and proven track record with URP has continued to make us their go-to designer. Major new building, renovation, addition, and interior build out projects that Strang has completed in the University Research Park include:
Strang’s projects at the University Research Park have included everything from innovation centers and business incubators to start-up offices and laboratories for a wide range of life science companies. As shown on the accompanying map, Strang’s continued impact on the park has expanded and developed over time, while still creating space for future tenants.
