Wayne Whiting

Wayne has over 35 years of comprehensive architectural experience and has led many of Strang’s most complex science and technology projects. His project experience includes a range of building types including STEM facilities, analytical/diagnostic testing laboratories, vivarium, research laboratories, commercial, and mixed-use facilities. Wayne has extensive renovation and remodeling experience. He strives to focus on the key operational/process features of a project, how equipment and engineered systems support the project, and a client’s expectations for delivering the project. His work ethic and attention to detail is demonstrated with an integrated and passionate approach for each project and maintained through Strang’s Listen Discover Design process.

Peter Tan

Peter is an architect with over 35 years of experience designing award-winning commercial, civic, and urban design projects. As Executive Vice President and Chief Design Officer, he is responsible for Strang’s design vision and creative direction.

Scott Shepler

Jonathan Nelson

With 40 years of experience, Jonathan has a diverse background in designing and managing building projects in higher education, food service, retail, and healthcare. He specializes in the renovation and preservation of historic buildings.

Drew Martin

As an architect, Drew finds great joy in developing creative responses to a variety of client needs. He incorporates progressive design strategies into his client-focused design process to ensure that each solution appropriately and distinctively addresses the project’s specific requirements. Furthermore, as Strang’s Director of Design Visualization, Drew ensures that every design is communicated in a cohesive and coherent manner, using a variety of media to convey complex ideas intuitively, from initial diagrams and construction details to artistic renderings and virtual reality.

Sue Long Lee

Sue Long is a Hmong immigrant who grew up in Wisconsin and graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a degree in Architectural Studies. He also earned a Master of Architecture from the University of Southern California, bringing his West Coast design expertise to Strang.

Alec Hembree

As an architect, Alec considers the client an integral part of the design team. He serves to listen, understands, and unite each of the client’s need with the architectural concept. His passion for design at many scales creates architecture with a dynamic, multi-sensory interface between people and the built environment.

Jens Hanson

As an Architectural Designer with a non-traditional background and a passion for highly functional designs, Jens brings a unique outlook and approach to every project. Specializing in design visualization and documentation, Jens incorporates Strang’s client-focused process to serve as a successful steward of a client’s design vision.

Daniel E. Hale

Dan’s experience is focused on the planning and design of high-performing facilities within the sciences and technology-driven industries. His passion is creating efficient spaces that support the dynamic environment of research, development, and production.

Kevin Donahue

Kevin is experienced in the design and oversight of multiple project types. He is skilled at addressing common sense design to the innovative, and he thrives on finding creative solutions to a variety of client needs. Kevin understands the details and intrigues of managing design and constructability in his projects and he specifically enjoys working on projects that feature adaptive reuse of spaces and present challenges.
