Peter is an architect with over 35 years of experience designing award-winning commercial, civic, and urban design projects. As Executive Vice President and Chief Design Officer, he is responsible for Strang’s design vision and creative direction. Peter’s client-focused design philosophy involves a commitment to thoughtful listening in order to create environments that truly reflect users’ needs and visions, while responding to their context of time and place. As a LEED Accredited Professional, he is passionate about sustainable design and our collective responsibility as stewards of our planet and the public realm. His dedication for our community is expressed in his service on several boards and local organizations over the years, including MadREP, Upper House Advisory Council, several design committees/commissions and as Scoutmaster of Troop 122.
Interests
Peter’s passion for the environment extends to his recreational pursuits, spending most of his time outdoors. He enjoys kayaking on Madison’s lakes as well as Lake Michigan and Superior and can often be seen biking or skiing on a local trail year-round. A fun fact about Peter is that he loves to dance, because, like Architecture, it is all about rhythm and movement through space.
