Electrical Engineer - Registered

As an Electrical Engineer you will work directly with clients and the Strang project team to determine the appropriate electrical systems for the project, feasibility studies, probable cost estimates, load and lighting calculations, oversee the production of construction documents (plans, details, schedules, specifications) and assist with construction administration.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Pre-Design graphics and renderings
  • Programming
  • Schematic Design
  • Design Development
  • Construction Documents
  • Construction Administration
  • Quality control of work performed
  • Client Care and Communication

The Ideal Candidate will possess strong proficiency in the following general skills:

  • 5 or more years of consulting experience and a Professional Engineering license
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Possess innovative thinking skills and passion for design
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of electrical systems for complex building types
  • Knowledge of power, lighting and life safety systems (required)
  • Experience with emergency generators, security, tele/data and specialty systems (preferred)
  • Ability to think creatively
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic multi-tasking team setting

 

Required Software Proficiencies Include:

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Revit
  • AutoCAD (desired but not essential)

Education, Experience, Registrations:

  • Bachelor's degree or Masters degree required
  • 5 or more years of work experience
  • Professional Registration (AIA, PE, etc.) required
  • Specialty certifications (LEED, WELL, RCDD, etc.) desired

Plumbing Engineer/Designer

The Plumbing Engineer/Designer will work closely with Strang's integrated team of project engineers, architects, and interior designers to develop plans and specifications for a variety of exciting project types.  Working under the direction of a project manager you will gain knowledge and experience in all phases of design from feasibility studies, probable cost estimates, calculations and overseeing the production of construction documents plans, details, schedules, specifications
