Sue Long is a Hmong immigrant who grew up in Wisconsin and graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a degree in Architectural Studies. He also earned a Master of Architecture from the University of Southern California, bringing his West Coast design expertise to Strang. Sue Long is driven by improving community through design, as seen from his previous project experience and minor in Urban Planning. He offers a unique design sensibility, especially in his focus on the “spaces in between” and creating synergy between indoor and outdoor spaces. Sue Long seeks to design spaces that put people and experiences first. His philosophy is that a building is only as good as the feelings it generates.
Interests
After living in Los Angeles, Sue Long has now settled in Madison with his wife and dog. He and his wife are expecting their first child!
